LAG Program August 3, 2010 at 6:30

August in the Garden

Please join the Lincoln Artists’ Guild on Tuesday, August 3, 6:30 p.m. at the Lincoln Sunken Gardens for an evening of sketching (bring your camera). It is located at 27th and A Street. We will not meet at the LPS building this month.

Afterward, we will car pool to Dairy Queen for ice cream, at 3835 South Street.

LAG Program July 6, 2010 7pm-9pm

On July 5th, the Lincoln Artists’ Guild will have an opportunity to learn how to do “Traditional Artist Journaling.” Carolyn Plants, one of our members, has been teaching art since 1980. She has taught herself Journaling over the last few years, and will share her insights at the July 6 program.

Carolyn received her undergraduate work in Kearney and her masters in Adult Education at UNL. She teaches at Southeast Community College part time.

Please bring a bound book to Journal in; preferably one in which the pages cannot be removed. The Journal can be purchased or a journal that you make for yourself. The pages can be lined or blank. Also bring pencil, ink, watercolors or whatever you prefer recording with.

This should be an interesting and new experience for many.
